...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Kentucky...Illinois...

  Ohio River at Newburgh Dam...Mount Vernon...J.T. Myers Dam and
  Shawneetown

.Due to heavy rainfall over the past couple of days and expected
rainfall through the weekend, minor flood conditions will persist
at several river gages on the Ohio River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam
* Until Wednesday January 25.
* At  8:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 39.0 feet.
* Flood Stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 41.8 feet by
  early Sunday morning.

  the Ohio River at Mount Vernon
* From Thursday Morning to Thursday January 26.
* At  6:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 33.3 feet.
* Flood Stage is 35.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
  to rise to near 38.6 feet by Monday morning.
* Impact...At 40.0 Feet...Farm land and some main roads are flooded in
  places southwest and west of Mt. Vernon.

* From late Thursday Night to Friday January 27.
* At  8:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 34.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early Friday
  morning and crest near 40.3 feet on Tuesday, January 24.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
  to rise to near 37.9 feet by early Tuesday morning.
