...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers...

  Ohio River at Portsmouth
  Ohio River at Maysville

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Do not drive your car through flooded roadways. The
water depth may be deeper than it appears.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Ohio River at Portsmouth
* from Friday morning to late Saturday night.
* At 11 AM the stage was 43.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 50 feet.
* The river will rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
  to rise to near 53 feet by Saturday morning. The river will fall
  below flood stage by Saturday before midnight.
* At stages near 53 feet, Water may impact lower levels of homes in South
  Portsmouth.  Backwater flooding from the Ohio River worsens onto area
  creeks, especially along the Ohio side of the river through Scioto and
  Adams Counties.  Flooding continues through stretches of Route 52.
  Much of Portsmouth itself is protected by flood walls.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Ohio River at Maysville
* from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
* At 11 AM the stage was 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 50 feet.
* The river will rise above flood stage by early tomorrow afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 52.3 feet by early Saturday afternoon. The
  river will fall below flood stage by late Sunday morning.
* At stages near 52 feet, Backwater flooding traveling up Red Oak
  Creek near Ripley, Ohio results in flooding along and east of Cherry
  Street, with water also approaching the Ripley Post Office.
