Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Taunton MA
412 PM EDT Thu Jul 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...
As a cold front approaches from the west, scattered showers will
continue into the evening hours.

A drying trend develops late tonight into Friday as the cold front
moves through the region and then stalls near the south coast.

A coastal storm will move off the mid Atlantic coast Friday night
and track south of New England Saturday. This will result in
scattered showers, gusty northeast winds and unseasonably cool
temperatures, especially along the south coast.

Min RH values will be 50 to 60 percent on Friday. Then on Saturday
range from 55 percent across northwest sections, to 75 percent
across the Cape and islands.

.OUTLOOK...Sunday through Thursday...

The unusual early season gale will linger south of New England
Sunday into Monday with cool temperatures and unsettled
conditions persisting, namely across the eastern half of the
region. Seasonable temperatures with mainly dry conditions
return for Tuesday through Thursday complements of high pressure
building back into the region.
