Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
222 PM EDT Mon May 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...A weak front continues to drop slowly down into the
N. Central Midlands over the next 48-72 hours. As this happens,
upper level troughs passing overhead will aid solar heating in a
marginally-unstable airmass to produce isolated thunderstorms
primarily in the afternoon and evening. On Wednesday the front
weakens significantly, and slightly higher pressures are expected
to build in producing a lower chance of convective activity.
Widespread fog is not expected Tuesday morning, however patchy
fog may form around sunrise in a few areas receiving significant
rainfall from the previous night`s storm cores.
