FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
253 PM CDT MON JUL 6 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A WARM AND HUMID AIRMASS WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE CENTRAL
TENNESSEE VALLEY THROUGH THE MID WEEK...AS LIGHT SOUTHWEST
WINDS CONTINUE. STRONG DAYTIME HEATING AND WILL LEAD TO
ISOLATED SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. HOWEVER...STORMS
THAT DO FORM MAY PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS AND BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.

MIXING HEIGHTS MOSTLY IN THE 6000-7000FT RANGE ABOVE GROUND
LEVEL..ALONG WITH TRANSPORT WINDS AROUND 15 MPH...SHOULD
PRODUCE GOOD AFTERNOON SMOKE DISPERSION INDICES.

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO
BECOME ESTABLISHED ACROSS THE SOUTHEASTERN STATES FOR THE
LATTER PORTIONS OF THE WEEK AND UPCOMING WEEKEND. THIS WILL
LEAD TO A CONTINUATION OF HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS...WITH
ONLY A REMOTE CHANCE OF AN AFTERNOON SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM.
