Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
357 AM CDT Fri Apr 28 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Calm and variable winds this morning will shift to a more
southerly direction late this morning as a warm front moves north
through the area. This will increase winds with gusts of 15 to 20
mph possible. A few thunderstorms are possible but coverage will
be low. Dew points will increase with the warm frontal passage
which should keep minimum RH values above 50 percent. South winds
will continue overnight and strengthen again on Saturday with
gusts up to 15 mph possible. Isolated thunderstorms are possible
again on Saturday and a widespread rain is not expected. Minimum
Rh values will be in the 45 to 50 percent range.

A cold front will move through Sunday evening with numerous
thunderstorms along the line with a widespread rainfall expected.
A few storms could be strong to severe, especially in areas of
northwest Alabama. Winds will shift to the west northwest behind
the line with cooler and drier air filtering in for Monday.

Red Flag Conditions are not expected during the next few days.
Patchy fog is possible tonight and Saturday night in areas that
get rainfall and where the clouds clear out overnight.
