FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
206 PM CDT THU AUG 21 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A FEW SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL LINGER THROUGH THIS EVENING BEFORE
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ACROSS THE AREA, ENDING THE RAIN CHANCES THROUGH
EARLY NEXT WEEK. AS A RESULT, HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH THIS TIME, WITH AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE TO
UPPER 90S, AND HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 100 AND 105 DEGREES.

WITH THE HIGH PRESSURE IN PLACE ACROSS THE REGION, LIGHT AND VARIABLE
WINDS WILL PREVAIL THROUGH THE PERIOD. GENERALLY GOOD SMOKE DISPERSION
IS EXPECTED DURING THIS TIME, WITH MIXING HEIGHTS AT/ABOVE 5000FT
DURING THE AFTERNOONS.
