Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
344 AM CDT Thu Jun 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected over the
next several days as Gulf moisture returns to the region,
coinciding with a series of upper-level disturbances that will
skirt the area. RH values will be quite high during the day
and well above critical levels in the 60-70 percent range.
The best chance for widespread wetting rains may be tonight
into Friday morning, with additional chances for scattered
thunderstorms each afternoon and evening through the Fourth of
July holiday on Tuesday. As higher amounts of atmospheric
moisture returns, locally heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and
frequent lightning strikes will be threats with this activity.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog development is
possible late tonight into Friday morning, especially in
and near sheltered areas that received wetting rainfall.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
