National Weather Service Lake Charles LA

.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms ongoing this afternoon are expected
to dissipate this evening. The combination of a weak upper level trof
and a surface frontal boundary approaching from the north will yield
another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday, with
activity continuing Wednesday night into Thursday as the boundary stalls
near the coast. By Friday, moisture associated with what is expected to
be a regenerated Harvey will likely begin spreading into the region and
interacting with the stalled frontal boundary, resulting in numerous
showers and thunderstorms.
