Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
308 PM CST Sat Feb 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Calm winds will prevail this evening, allowing temperatures to quickly
cool under a strengthening low level inversion. Most of the Midsouth
will experience a hard freeze tonight. By sunrise Sunday, light southeast
return flow will begin west of the Mississippi River. This returning
southeasterly will spread through the remainder of the Midsouth Sunday
morning and strengthen during the day. Humidity levels will increase
marginally by Sunday afternoon, preceding increased wetting rain chances
Sunday night and early Monday. A humid airmass will prevail Monday and
Tuesday, and will support scattered showers and thunderstorms. A
strong cold frontal passage will bring additional thunderstorms
Wednesday, followed by cool and dry conditions by Wednesday evening.
