Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Middle Tennessee
National Weather Service Nashville TN
448 AM CDT Wed Aug 16 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Active westerlies to prevail today and again on Thursday. However,
on Thursday, convection looks a little more favorable as a frontal
boundary encroaches from the west. Should see drier air move in by
Thursday night and especially on Friday. Therefore, pops will trend
downward.

In the extended fcst, high pressure at the sfc will build in and
keep conditions dry on into the weekend. There is a mid level trough
axis to our northeast. Dynamics with this feature have trended
toward a northerly shift over the last few model runs and thus, will
keep conditions dry for the mid state.
