Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
254 PM PDT Mon Sep 18 2017

...PERIODS OF BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS TO CONTINUE THROUGH
WEDNESDAY...

...COOLER AND WETTER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THIS WEEK WITH HIGH
CHANCES FOR WETTING RAINS...

.DISCUSSION...An upper level trough has moved over the Pacific
Northwest tonight and will remain through the week. Frequent
disturbances will continue through at least Friday. Wetting rains
with snow above 6000 feet in the mountains can be expected. The
Columbia Basin will see less rain due to rain shadowing effects
but should still get around an inch or so through the week. With
the trough overhead, the atmosphere will be unstable but
thunderstorms will be limited at best. Wednesday looks like the
best chance for thunderstorms. Breezy to windy conditions can be
expected tonight and tomorrow before starting to decrease
Wednesday. Daytime humidities will be much higher than in recent
weeks with good overnight recoveries.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
