...Dry and Breezy in the Willamette Valley Through the Early
Evening...

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...Cascades cumulus build-ups this evening.
Breezy north winds and dry humidity through early evening for the
central and south Willamette Valley. Still outside chance tonight
for elevated storms drifting over the central Cascades from the
east. Most instability moves east Tuesday but still have minimal
chances for a thunderstorm near Willamette Pass.

.DISCUSSION...Convective reality staying fairly close to
expectations so far this afternoon. THe best action remains well
southeast of Willamette Pass and is slowly developing northward. A
couple of cumulus towers are forming closer to the Pass and still
feel good about keeping the mention of cumulus buildups. Latest
high resolution models still bring a threat of storms drifting
toward zone 608 tonight, but continue to hold short of crossing
the Cascade crest. Still feel it`s best to have the mention just
in case Mother Nature over-achieves model and our expectations.
Still feel any storms which do make it into our area will be deep
into the dissipation stage, likely only putting out a handful of
strikes.

Have decided to keep a much reduced mention of thunderstorm
potential for Tuesday. Still do not have a strong feeling they
will occur, however. Any storms that do form tonight and tomorrow
will be very slow moving, likely producing some form of rain
underneath the cores, but still not likely wetting. For the rest
of the week, onshore flow remains with Wednesday likely being the
coolest day of the week. Humidity will continue to be moderated.
