Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
826 AM PDT Fri Sep 22 2017

Current warnings/watches...none.

.DISCUSSION...An upper level trough over Eastern Oregon will move
east and a weak offshore upper level ridge will slowly move inland
over southern British Columbia today. This will produce a general drying
and warming trend. Humidity will still be elevated and high
temperatures will be a little below normal. The ridge will be weak
enough the first few days to allow moisture from transient weather
systems to brush mainly the coast and north part of the area with
clouds and some spotty light rain. A weak weather system will pass
through the Olympic Peninsula on Saturday bringing a slight chance of
light rain. The ridge will build Wednesday and Thursday for mostly
sunny and slightly warmer weather.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
