FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR MISSOURI
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
ISSUED BY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
434 PM CDT MON AUG 3 2015

.DISCUSSION...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN ACROSS SOUTHWEST MISSOURI
AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS LATER TONIGHT. RAIN CHANCES WILL
SLOWLY INCREASE FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE REGION DURING THE DAY
ON TUESDAY.

THE BEST CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR TUESDAY
NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL WEATHER DISTURBANCE DEEPENS
OVER THE AREA...BRINGING COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF RAIN OVER PARTS OF WEST
CENTRAL AND CENTRAL MISSOURI.

RAIN CHANCES WILL DIMINISH SOMEWHAT THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...WITH ANOTHER
...WEAKER WEATHER SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE AREA OVER THE WEEKEND.

WINDS WILL GRADUALLY MOVE FROM THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST TO WEST TONIGHT
INTO TUESDAY...AS A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY WORKS SOUTHWARD INTO CENTRAL
MISSOURI.

ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST AS
A SURFACE LOW MOVES THROUGH CENTRAL MISSOURI. WINDS WILL EVENTUALLY TURN
NORTH AND NORTHWEST WITH A FRONTAL PASSAGE ON FRIDAY....THEN WORK BACK TO
THE SOUTH OVER THE WEEKEND IN ADVANCE OF THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM.
