ECCDA DISCUSSIONS FOR YREKA AND MODOC CALIFORNIA DISPATCH AREAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEDFORD OR
225 PM PDT SUN MAY 29 2016

ECC002-301530-
WEST YREKA-
DISCUSSION FOR...WESTERN KLAMATH
225 PM PDT SUN MAY 29 2016

THE ATMOSPHERE WILL CONTINUE TO TURN WARMER AND DRIER EACH DAY AS
THE RIDGE BUILDS INTO THE WEST COAST AND A THERMAL TROUGH IS
STRENGTHENING ALONG THE COAST. THIS WILL PROVIDE FOR DRY EAST WINDS
OVER THE RIDGES. THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK WILL BE MUCH WARMER
AND DRIER THAN NORMAL AS AN UPPER RIDGE STRENGTHENS. THIS WILL
LEAD TO A CORRESPONDING LOW DAY TIME HUMIDITIES AND POOR NIGHT
TIME RECOVERIES OVER THE MID SLOPES AND RIDGES. THERE IS A SLIGHT
CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS AND SHOWERS ON WEDNESDAY AS SOUTHERLY
FLOW BRINGS SOME MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY TO THE FORECAST AREA.
WARM CONDITIONS CONTINUED LATE IN THE WEEK. ALSO ADDITIONAL
CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED NEXT WEEKEND.
