...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

BREEZY SOUTHWEST WINDS SHOULD BEGIN TO DEVELOP TODAY ACROSS THE
AREA, BUT WILL INCREASE MARKEDLY ON SUNDAY. COMBINED WITH LOW
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES, CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL EXIST
ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHERN NEVADA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA. UPGRADED
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TO A RED FLAG WARNING FOR SUNDAY
AFTERNOON/EVENING, WITH THE REST OF THE RED FLAG WARNING LEFT AS IS.
SHARPLY COOLER TEMPERATURES AND A SWITCH TO NORTH/NORTHWEST WINDS
ARE EXPECTED ON MONDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE WEST COAST WILL MOVE SLOWLY INLAND
THROUGH THE WESTERN STATES THROUGH MONDAY BRINGING STRONGER ONSHORE
FLOW WITH COOLING...DEEPENING OF THE MARINE LAYER...AND GUSTY WEST
WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. THE COMBINATION OF LOW INLAND
HUMIDITIES AND GUSTY WINDS WILL BRING NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS FOR THE DESERTS SUNDAY AFTERNOON. WARMER AND DRY WITH A
SHALLOWER MARINE LAYER FOR TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WITH PERIODS OF
WEAK OFFSHORE FLOW POSSIBLE.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

DRY CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED TODAY ALONG WITH A DECREASE IN
HUMIDITY BUT WITH GOOD RECOVERY TONIGHT. AFTERNOON WINDS TODAY WILL
BE A BIT STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY. ON SUNDAY...AN APPROACHING COLD
FRONT LEADS TO ADDITIONAL STRENGTHENING OF THE WINDS...ESPECIALLY
OVER SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA WHERE HUMIDITIES AND WINDS WILL APPROACH
CRITICAL THRESHOLDS. FURTHER EAST...THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR AVERAGE THIS WEEKEND.
