MOST OBSERVATION LOCATIONS NEAR THE FIRE SITE INCLUDING SALTER RAWS
HAVE TURNED TO A WESTERLY DIRECTION. THERE IS A WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT
TO THE EAST THAT MOST LIKELY KEPT WINDS EASTERLY LONGER INTO THE
EARLY AFTERNOON. THE WINDS SHOULD START TO TURN NORTHWESTERLY LATER
THIS AFTERNOON. SHOWERS ARE FORMING TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE FIRE AREA
OVER THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS AND COULD BRING GUSTY AND
ERRATIC WINDS TO THE FIRE SITE LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS
EVENING.
