.DISCUSSION...

COLD FRONT AND PRECIPITATION WAS OVER CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA. SCATTERED
TO ISOLATED SHOWERS REMAINED ALONG THE FRONT. DRIER AND COOLER AIR
COMES IN TONIGHT AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE OHIO VALLEY.
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DIMINISH BY THURSDAY MORNING UNDER THIS HIGH.

COLDER AIR WILL ARRIVE THIS WEEKEND...ASSOCIATED WITH A FAST MOVING
CLIPPER SYSTEM FROM CANADA THAT WILL RESULT IN THE SPIN UP OF A STRONG
AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AS IT REACHES THE MID ATLANTIC REGION SATURDAY.

THE SURGE OF COLD CANADIAN AIR THIS WEEKEND WILL LIKELY PRODUCE A
HARD/KILLING FREEZE IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH TEMPERATURES DIPPING INTO
THE 20S. NEAR FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE EAST OF THE
MOUNTAINS.

THE COLD OUTBREAK WILL LAST FOR ABOUT 2 TO 3 DAYS...FOLLOWED BY
WARMING TEMPERATURES NEXT WEEK.
