ILLINOIS...NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...EAST
CENTRAL IOWA...NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND NORTHEAST
MISSOURI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TODAY. THE MAIN THREAT WILL
BE HEAVY RAINFALL WITH INTENSE RAINFALL RATES. ALTHOUGH WIDESPREAD
FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED...THE INTENSE RAINFALL RATES COULD
CAUSE LOCALIZED ISSUES IN URBAN AREAS OR LOCATIONS THAT RECENTLY
RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL.

THERE IS A SECONDARY THREAT OF DAMAGING WINDS WITH THE STRONGER
STORMS. WHILE THIS THREAT IS ALSO NOT WIDESPREAD...THE POSSIBILITY
OF LOCALIZED WIND DAMAGE CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

IN ADDITION TO THUNDERSTORMS...THE HEAT WILL CONTINUE TODAY. BY
AFTERNOON...TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH OR EXCEED 90
DEGREES. THESE WARM TEMPERATURES...WHEN COMBINED WITH THE HIGH
HUMIDITY...WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE UPPER 90S TO
AROUND 100 DEGREES...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS SOUTH OF I-80. THESE
UNUSUALLY WARM TEMPERATURES CAN BECOME DANGEROUS AND EVEN LIFE
THREATENING IF PROPER PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

VERY WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
TEMPERATURES REACHING THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S...COMBINED WITH
DEWPOINTS IN THE 70S...MAY LEAD TO HEAT INDEX VALUES AS HIGH AS
100 TO 105 IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. HEAVY RAINFALL
WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AND ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING
WINDS ARE POSSIBLE.
