This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois, northwest Illinois, west central Illinois, east central
Iowa, northeast Iowa, southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri.

.DAY ONE...REST OF TODAY AND TONIGHT

Unseasonably warm temperatures, breezy southwest winds gusting up
to 25 MPH, low relative humidities, and plentiful dried vegetation
will combine to result in a very high threat of grass fires this
afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

Thunderstorms will be possible from late Thursday into Friday as
a large storm system moves across the Midwest. Chances for severe
weather Thursday night are low, but locally heavy rainfall may
produce ponding of water on roads. There is a chance for more
thunderstorms redeveloping east of the Mississippi River by
Friday afternoon. There is a marginal threat for some of these
storms to be severe. A higher chance for severe weather will
occur to the east of the Outlook Area Friday afternoon.

A strong cold front will arrive late Friday, resulting in rain
changing over to snow Friday night and into early Saturday
morning. Snow accumulations are currently expected to be light,
but brisk northwest winds mixing in with the snow may sharply
reduce visibilities at times.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
