THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH ALABAMA AND PORTIONS
OF SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE AREA THIS
AFTERNOON...AS A STRONG COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE REGION. GUSTY
WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE TO THE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION
THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...WITH TEMPERATURES STEADILY
FALLING. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL TO AND BELOW FREEZING ACROSS
NORTHWEST ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE SHORTLY AFTER
MIDNIGHT...AND ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION BEFORE DAYBREAK
THURSDAY. WIDESPREAD RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO FREEZING RAIN AS
TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING. FREEZING RAIN WILL GRADUALLY MIX
WITH SLEET ACROSS THE NORTHWEST THURSDAY MORNING. LINGERING LIGHT
SNOW AND FLURRIES WILL BE POSSIBLE ON THURSDAY MORNING AS THE
HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION EXITS THE REGION. ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF 0.1
TO 0.3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AFTER SUNRISE ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE TO BETWEEN
A TRACE TO ONE INCH ACROSS THE AREA. A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN
EFFECT FOR LAUDERDALE...COLBERT...FRANKLIN...LAWRENCE...LIMESTONE...
MADISON...MORGAN...AND CULLMAN COUNTIES IN NORTHERN ALABAMA...AND
IN LINCOLN...MOORE AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE. THIS WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM CST UNTIL
3 PM CST ON THURSDAY.

A BRISK NORTH WIND WILL CREATE WIND CHILLS IN THE TEENS ON THURSDAY
MORNING...WITH WIND CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS EXPECTED BY FRIDAY
MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN BELOW FREEZING FOR MOST LOCATIONS
UNTIL AROUND NOON FRIDAY.

ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL IS
POSSIBLE LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND ON THURSDAY IN SUPPORT OF WINTER
