THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR COASTAL PORTIONS OF THE SAN
FRANCISCO BAY AREA AND MONTEREY BAY AREA...AS WELL AS THE COASTAL
MOUNTAINS.

.DAY ONE...SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT

STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP BY LATE SUNDAY
AFTERNOON ALONG THE COAST AND IN THE COASTAL HILLS. BY LATE
AFTERNOON NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG
WITH WIND GUSTS OF BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH LATE EVENING BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING
AFTER MIDNIGHT. A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL COASTAL
ZONES AS WELL AS COASTAL MOUNTAIN ZONES FROM 4 PM PST SUNDAY UNTIL
4 AM PST MONDAY.

IN ADDITION...PERIODS OF RAIN WILL OCCUR ACROSS AREAS FROM
MONTEREY BAY SOUTHWARD TODAY. MOST RAIN WILL FALL DURING THE
MORNING WITH RAIN TAPERING OFF IN THE AFTERNOON. RAINFALL WILL BE
HEAVIEST ACROSS MONTEREY AND SAN BENITO COUNTIES...ESPECIALLY IN THE
BIG SUR AREA AND SANTA LUCIA MOUNTAINS. LOCAL DEBRIS FLOWS OR ROCK
SLIDES ARE POSSIBLE IN AREAS OF STEEP TERRAIN.
