...Freezing temperatures expected this morning and afternoon...

.A powerful arctic cold front has blasted through deep south
Texas a few hours earlier then expected this morning. Strong
winds and freezing temperatures are developing in the wake of the
front, and therefore a Wind Advisory and Freeze Warning are in
effect for specific portions of the region Today into Wednesday.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...
...FREEZE WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST WEDNESDAY...

* TIMING...Now through early this evening for the Wind Advisory,
  and mid- afternoon today to early afternoon Wednesday for the
  Freeze Warning.

* WINDS...North 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph.

* Temperature...28 to 32 degrees.

* IMPACTS...Lightweight and unsecured objects will be easily
  blown around and possibly damaged. Driving will be difficult,
  especially for those operating high profile vehicles.
  Subfreezing temperatures will threaten tender vegetation
  across the region. Protect outside pets and livestock by
  providing adequate shelter and a safe source of heat. Exposed
  pipes could freeze.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 39 MPH are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
