...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS AND THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS...

.An upper level trough over the Great Basin today will approach
the region Tuesday. As it does it may produce high wind in the
Guadalupe Mountains, and in the higher elevations of the Davis
Mountains. As the trough passes by the wind speeds will drop off.

...HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* TIMING...Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning.

* WINDS...West 35 to 45 mph with gusts around 65 mph.

* IMPACTS...These winds could make driving difficult for high
  profile vehicles such as campers, vans and tractor trailers.
  Airplanes flying over the Guadalupe Mountains may experience
  severe turbulence.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event.  Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur.  Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
