...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Wind
Advisory...which is in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening.

* WINDS...Northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph along the
  north side of the valley. Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up
  to 40 mph elsewhere.

* TIMING...Strong winds will persist, especially along the north
  side of the valley, through this afternoon. Winds will decrease
  through the evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
  lines. Scattered power outages are possible. Motorists driving
  high profile vehicles may experience difficulty controlling
  their vehicles.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
