...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1964, a foot of snow buried Dallas while Fort Worth
received 7.5 inches.  In 1989, Eastern and Northwestern
Wyoming were whip lashed by Chinook winds that reached 80
to 100 mph in many areas.  Reports of damage were not
available.

&&

In 1831, an incredible snowstorm raged from Georgia to
Maine.Around two and a half feet buried parts of the
northeast from Pennsylvania to Southern New England.
