A NWS STORM SURVEY FOUND THAT AN EF-1 TORNADO TOUCHED
ABOUT 3 MILES SOUTH OF LOWRY CITY AND CROSSED HWY 13. THE TORNADO
TRACKED NORTHEAST AND LIFTED ON NE 1000 ROAD JUST EAST OF HWY NN.
THE TORNADO SEVERELY DAMAGED TWO HOMES AND SEVERAL OUTBUILDINGS.
THE TORNADO UPROOTED AND DAMAGE NUMEROUS TREES ALONG THE PATH. THE
PATH WAS APPROXIMATELY 200 YARDS WIDE AND ABOUT 4 AND HALF MILES
LONG. MAXIMUM WINDS WERE ESTIMATED UP TO 100 MPH.

EF SCALE: THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE CLASSIFIES TORNADOES INTO THE
FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.

EF0...WEAK......65 TO 85 MPH
EF1...WEAK......86 TO 110 MPH
EF2...STRONG....111 TO 135 MPH
EF3...STRONG....136 TO 165 MPH
EF4...VIOLENT...166 TO 200 MPH
EF5...VIOLENT...>200 MPH
