..ELEVATED FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE VICTORIA CROSSROADS
AND PORTIONS OF THE NORTHEASTERN COASTAL BEND...

VERY WARM TEMPERATURES ARE COMBINING WITH A DRY AIRMASS AND
OCCASIONALLY GUSTY WINDS...RESULTING IN AN ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER
CONDITION ACROSS THE GOLIAD...VICTORIA AND REFUGIO COUNTIES.

NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS AROUND 25
MPH COMBINED WITH AFTERNOON HUMIDITY FROM 20 TO 35 PERCENT WILL
RESULT IN THE ELEVATED FIRE DANGER. WINDS WILL DIMINISH AND
HUMIDITY VALUES WILL INCREASE BY 6 PM.

AFFECTED RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE CARE WITH RESPECT TO ALL
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT COULD INADVERTENTLY CAUSE WILDFIRES. AVOID
THE USE OF WELDING OF GRINDING EQUIPMENT NEAR WEEKS, GRASS AND
DRY BRUSH. IN ADDITION, AVOID PARKING VEHICLES IN TALL, DRY GRASS
AND WEEDS THAT COULD BE IGNITED. DO NOT TOSS CIGARETTE BUTTS ON
THE GROUND. REPORT WILDFIRES QUICKLY TO THE NEAREST FIRE
DEPARTMENT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE.
