...INCREASING FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS TODAY ACROSS NORTHEAST
OKLAHOMA...

UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. ADDITIONALLY...SOUTHERLY WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH
GUSTING 30 TO 40 MPH WILL PREVAIL THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. A
STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO AREAS NEAR THE OKLAHOMA KANSAS
BORDER BY LATE AFTERNOON AND SPREAD QUICKLY SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE
EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. A SHARP WIND SHIFT AND GUSTY NORTH
WINDS WILL MARK THE COLD FRONT AND THIS COULD IMPACT ANY ONGOING
FIRE SUPPRESSION EFFORTS.

BURN BANS REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR MAYES...CREEK...MCINTOSH...
PITTSBURG...HASKELL...AND LE FLORE COUNTIES IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA.
OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED...AND ANY ACTIVITIES THAT
COULD START FIRES SHOULD BE CLOSELY MONITORED.
