.DISCUSSION...THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX WILL RANGE FROM THE
LOW TO HIGH CATEGORIES TODAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM
THE UPPER 80S TO THE MID 90S. THE MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL
FALL TO AROUND 15 PERCENT OVER FAR SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
TO AROUND 30 PERCENT OVER CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. SOUTHERLY WINDS OF
10 TO 15 MPH ARE EXPECTED.

ON WEDNESDAY...THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX IS EXPECTED TO
RANGE FROM THE MODERATE TO VERY HIGH CATEGORIES.

ON THE GROUND...INDICATE THAT THERE IS A MODERATE TO HIGH
POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE
RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS
ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
