...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FOR DRY THUNDERSTORMS AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS FOR FIRE
WEATHER ZONE 478...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 478 Salt Lake Desert.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to possibly scattered dry and wet
  thunderstorms will continue to develop this afternoon into this
  evening, primarily over southern portions of the zone.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Winds near the showers and thunderstorms will
  be gusty and erratic, with typical speeds of 30 to 45 mph.

* IMPACTS...The threat of dry lightning and gusty microburst winds
  will be conducive to the start and rapid growth of new fires as
  well as spread of existing fires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of
lightning...dry fuel conditions...and gusty microburst winds will
create favorable conditions for new fire starts and extreme fire
behavior.
