...River Statement For The Cahaba River...


Levels are now falling along the Cahaba River near Marion Junction...and this trend will continue for the next several days.

The Cahaba River At Marion Junction.
 Latest stage:     35.2 feet at 7 PM Tuesday.
 Caution stage:    15 feet.
 Flood stage:      36 feet.
 Forecast:         Already crested and beginning to fall.

* Impact...At 36.0 feet...Flooding is confined mainly to farm and
  pasture lands in the area.


Please stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or your local media for later
statements concerning this event.

Another statement will be issued Wednesday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
