MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND MILD TEMPERATURES PREVAILED ACROSS WESTERN
KANSAS UNTIL EARLY THIS MORNING, WHEN A COLD FRONT SWEPT THROUGH.
THIS FRONT BROUGHT PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES TO WESTERN KANSAS, ALONG WITH
STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES RANGED
FROM THE LOW 40S IN EASTERN KANSAS, TO THE LOW 50S IN PORTIONS OF
SOUTHWEST KANSAS.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE TROUGH EXTENDING FROM THE GREAT LAKES
REGION THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST TODAY, WHILE
AN UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE REBUILDS OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN
REGION OF THE ROCKIES. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD FROM WEST TO
EAST ACROSS KANSAS TODAY, AS THE COLD FRONT IN CENTRAL KANSAS
PROGRESSES EAST INTO MISSOURI. THE STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS WILL
GRADUALLY EASE BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON, WITH TEMPERATURES STILL
REMAINING ABOVE NORMAL.

HIGHS TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE LOW 60S IN SOUTHERN NEBRASKA AND
NORTHERN KANSAS, TO THE LOW 70S IN SOUTHERN KANSAS AND NORTHERN
OKLAHOMA. LOWS TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE MID TO UPPER 30S ACROSS
ALL BUT SOUTHERN KANSAS, WHERE LOWS WILL BE IN THE LOW 40S.
