SKIES THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS WERE MOSTLY SUNNY ACROSS THE
NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA REGION. LATE AFTERNOON
TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE TEENS.

ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE AREA WILL DRIFT SOUTHEAST TONIGHT
BUT NOT BEFORE CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS BRING ANOTHER NIGHT OF
NEAR TO BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURES AWAY FROM CHICAGO. GUSTY SOUTHEAST
WINDS FRIDAY DUE TO THE DEPARTING HIGH PRESSURE AND LOW PRESSURE
TO THE NORTH. SO AFTER A CHILLY START TO THE DAY...HIGHS IN THE
UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S. STEADY SOUTHWEST WINDS AHEAD OF A WEAK
COLD FRONT WILL KEEP LOWS IN THE 20S FRIDAY NIGHT. SATURDAY...HIGHS
IN THE UPPER 30S TO MID 40S...THE SNOW PACK SHOULD BEGIN TO MELT
IN EARNEST.
