...HEAT INDEX VALUES NEAR 105 DEGREES TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

HIGH TEMPERATURES TUESDAY WILL AGAIN RANGE FROM THE MID 90S TO
NEAR 100 DEGREES ACROSS THE RIO GRANDE AND COASTAL PLAINS ON TUESDAY.
IN ADDITION...SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE A
SUPPLY OF GULF MOISTURE TO THE REGION. THE HEAT AND MOISTURE IN
PLACE WILL COMBINE TO DRIVE HEAT INDEX VALUES TO AROUND 105
DEGREES DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. AS TEMPERATURES FALL AROUND
SUNSET HEAT INDEX VALUES SHOULD DROP BELOW 100 DEGREES.

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WEAR
LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN POSSIBLE AND DRINK
PLENTY OF WATER. NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN...DISABLED ADULTS OR PETS IN
PARKED VEHICLES.
