AT 252 PM EDT...AN AREA OF PERSISTENT SHOWERS EXTENDED FROM NEAR
LYONS TO NEAR ALSTON. THESE SHOWERS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY. AROUND
AN INCH TO AN INCH AND A HALF HAVE ALREADY ACROSS THIS AREA...AND AN
ADDITIONAL HALF INCH TO ONE INCH OF RAIN ARE POSSIBLE BY 400 PM EDT.

  HAZARD...HEAVY RAIN.

  IMPACT...LOCALIZED FLOODING IN LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
           IS LIKELY. MOTORISTS SHOULD SLOW DOWN AND BE PREPARED FOR
           POSSIBLE LOSS OF CONTROL DUE TO HYDROPLANING. WHEN WATER
           COVERS THE ROAD REMEMBER...TURN AROUND...DO NOT DROWN.
