...GUSTY WINDS CONTINUE TO USHER IN COLDER AIR TONIGHT...

A STRONG COLD FRONT MOVED ACROSS THE AREA TUESDAY AFTERNOON,
BRINGING AN END TO THE MILD TEMPERATURES SO FAR THIS MONTH AND
THE COLDEST AIR OF THE SEASON.

TEMPERATURES BY LATE EVENING DROPPED INTO THE UPPER TEENS TO
MIDDLE 20S ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTH-CENTRAL WISCONSIN, AND IN THE
MIDDLE TO UPPER 20S ACROSS NORTHEAST WISCONSIN. SOUTHWEST WINDS
OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH WERE PRODUCING WIND CHILL
READINGS FROM 5 TO 10 ABOVE ZERO ACROSS THE NORTH TO THE TEENS
ACROSS THE FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE REGION WHICH SHOULD CONTINUE
OVERNIGHT.

HIGH TEMPERATURES ON WEDNESDAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE LOWER TO
MIDDLE 20S, OR ABOUT 5 TO 8 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF
YEAR. GUSTY WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY
ON WEDNESDAY. THE COMBINATION OF THE COLD AND GUSTY WINDS WILL
PRODUCE WIND CHILL READINGS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO ACROSS
THE NORTH TO THE MIDDLE TEENS ACROSS THE FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE
REGION. THE CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN WILL MAKE IT FEEL UNUSUALLY
COLD DUE TO THE RECORD WARM WEATHER THE AREA HAS EXPERIENCED THIS
FALL AND EARLY WINTER. IF YOU ARE HEADING OUTDOORS, BUNDLE UP AND
DRESS IN LAYERS TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE COLD.

ALSO, IF YOU ARE TRAVELING ACROSS NORTHERN WISCONSIN OVERNIGHT
INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING, SOME LOCATIONS RECEIVED AN INCH OR TWO OF
SNOW ON TUESDAY. THE COLD WEATHER COULD CAUSE FOR SOME OF THE
TREATED ROADS, BRIDGES AND SIDEWALKS TO BECOME ICY AS TEMPERATURES
FALL INTO THE TEENS.
