...Pockets of dense fog possible away from the immediate coast...

Currently, patchy ground fog is affecting the local area, and
should increase in coverage towards daybreak. Expect areas of fog
with pockets of dense fog possible. Visibilities will drop to 1
to 3 miles in the fog, and to less than 1/2 mile if encountering
any pockets of dense fog.

The low visibilities may cause hazardous driving conditions. When
encountering the fog, motorists are urged to slow down, use low
beam headlights, and allow extra distance between you and the
vehicle ahead.
