TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING ACROSS
THE EASTERN SANDHILLS...SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA...AND NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA OVERNIGHT. WHILE MOST VEGETATION WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY
THESE COLD TEMPERATURES...A FEW EARLY SEASON TREES AND PLANTS MAY
BE IMPACTED...ESPECIALLY THOSE GARDEN VEGETABLES THAT HAVE BEEN
RECENTLY SET. ANNUALS AND TENDER PLANTS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN SET
OUTSIDE EARLY ARE ALSO AT RISK. THOSE WHO GROW THESE EARLY SEASON
TREES AND PLANTS...AND THOSE WHO SET OUT VULNERABLE PLANTS...WILL
NEED TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO LESSEN THE IMPACT OF FREEZING
TEMPERATURES AND AVOID FREEZE KILL OR DAMAGE.
