WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
304 PM CDT TUE MAY 24 2016

EVEN THOUGH THE QUAD STATE REGION IS POISED ALONG THE WESTERN EDGE
OF A WEAK SURFACE AND UPPER LEVEL RIDGE, SEVERAL MINOR WEATHER
DISTURBANCES ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION DAILY THROUGH
THE END OF MAY. AT THIS TIME, MOST OF THE RAIN WILL LIKELY OCCUR
DURING THE DAYTIME AND EVENING HOURS, WITH THE BEST CHANCES FOR
RAIN LIKELY TO PERSIST OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI TO JUST EAST OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL BE SLOW MOVING,
PERIODICALLY PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL AND LIGHTNING. A FEW
STORMS MAY PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS AND HAIL OVER PARTS OF SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS OFF AND ON THROUGH THURSDAY.

THIS EARLY SUMMER LIKE PATTERN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO NEXT
WEEK WITH HIGHS IN THE LOWER AND MIDDLE 80S AND LOWS MAINLY IN THE
60S.
