...A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF THE STATE FROM
WEDNESDAY THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

..A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE STATE LATE TUESDAY NIGHT
WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING RAPIDLY BEHIND THE BOUNDARY. WINTRY
PRECIPITATION WILL BE POSSIBLE AS EARLY AS WEDNESDAY MORNING
ACROSS NORTHERN ARKANSAS...AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD SOUTH
THROUGH THE DAY. RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO A PERIOD OF SLEET AND
FREEZING RAIN...THEN TRANSITION TO SNOW. SOME LOCATIONS OVER
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN ARKANSAS MAY SEE ICE AMOUNTS AROUND A TENTH
OR TWO...BUT AT THIS TIME...THE MAJORITY OF THE PRECIPITATION
WILL FALL AS SNOW WITH SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY. HIGHEST
SNOWFALL TOTALS WILL OCCUR ACROSS PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL
ARKANSAS...WITH AMOUNTS DECREASING TO THE WEST. THESE AMOUNTS

  TO SOUTH ON WEDNESDAY. WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL INITIALLY START
  AS SLEET BEFORE QUICKLY TRANSITIONING TO SNOW. FREEZING
  PRECIPITATION WILL BE LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH. SNOW AMOUNTS
  WILL BE FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.
