...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * A wintry mix of freezing rain, snow, and sleet will continue
across the east into this afternoon. The combination of
diminishing precipitation and slightly warming temperatures
should decrease the icing hazard later this afternoon.

 * Additional ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch are
possible through the early afternoon, especially around and
   south of M-28.

IMPACTS...

 * Expect hazardous driving conditions on untreated roads,
especially side streets and less traveled roads. Plan for
very icy conditions on untreated parking lots, sidewalks and
   driveways.

 * Ice accumulations are also expected on elevated surfaces,
   such as trees and powerlines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
and sleet will cause travel difficulties.

 * Prepare, plan, and stay informed. Visit www.weather.gov/mqt
