...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKDT TUESDAY...

THE WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL
NOON AKDT TUESDAY.

* LOCATION...ELEVATIONS ABOVE 3000 FEET THIS EVENING...LOWERING TO
  1000 FEET OVERNIGHT. HEAVIEST SNOW EAST OF THE DALTON HIGHWAY.

* SNOW...3 TO 5 INCHES. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL 6 TO 9 INCHES.

* BLOWING SNOW...SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH GUSTING TO 35 MPH THIS
  EVENING THROUGH PASSES WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY TO ONE HALF MILE
  OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TIMING...THE SNOW LEVEL WILL LOWER TO 1000 FEET OVERNIGHT AND
  SNOW WILL DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST TUESDAY MORNING. STRONG
  WINDS THROUGH PASSES WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH AFTER MIDNIGHT AND
  LOW VISIBILITY IN BLOWING SNOW WILL IMPROVE.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WILL BE DIFFICULT.
