This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southeastern
Arkansas, northwestern Mississippi, and portions of northeastern
Louisiana and west central Mississippi.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

EXCESSIVE HEAT
THREAT...Elevated
TIMING...Late Morning through Afternoon Today

Heat stress concerns will trend upward today with peak heat index
values ranging from 104 to 108 degrees. A heat advisory is in
effect, starting late this morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Heat stress concerns will continue to trend gradually upward on
Thursday with a heat advisory remaining in effect for portions of
the Arklamiss Delta where peak heat index values will range from
105 to 110 degrees. Elsewhere peak heat indices will at least be
near 105 degrees. Expect heat stress to slightly decrease in at
least areas north of Interstate Twenty on Friday, but most
locations can still anticipate peak heat index values up near 105
degrees.

.SPOTTER CALL TO ACTION STATEMENT...
The activation of storm spotters, HAM radio operators, and
emergency management personnel in support of severe weather
operations is not expected through next Tuesday.

 degrees.
Significant...Maximum heat index greater than 110 degrees

Elevated...Maximum heat index 105 to 110 degrees and/or air
 temperatures greater than 103 degrees.
Limited...Maximum heat index near 105 degrees and/or air
 temperatures 100 to 103 degrees.
