...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT CENTRAL ST. BERNARD...
CENTRAL JEFFERSON AND NORTHWESTERN PLAQUEMINES PARISHES...

At 632 AM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 6 miles east of Jean Lafitte to 6 miles
northeast of Pointe A La Hache. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Belle Chasse, Jean Lafitte, Myrtle Grove, Violet, Lafitte, Barataria,
Poydras and Meraux.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
