FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EAST KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
604 AM EDT MON AUG 29 2016

.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE RESPONSIBLE
FOR OUR RECENT HOT AND HUMID WEATHER WILL BREAK DOWN AND
EVENTUALLY BE REPLACED BY A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE
NORTHEAST PART OF THE NATION. THIS WILL BRING A TRANSITION TO A
COOLER AND DRIER AIR MASS FOR OUR AREA BY THE END OF THE WEEK.
DURING THE TRANSITION...WE WILL STILL HAVE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AT TIMES.
