FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
657 AM EDT SUN SEP 21 2014

.DISCUSSION...AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT WILL BRING SHOWER CHANCES TO
THE REGION TODAY. THE MOST WIDESPREAD COVERAGE WILL LIKELY BE OVER
THE FAR SOUTHEAST PORTION OF THE STATE DURING THE AFTERNOON. A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO ANTICIPATED. A FEW STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG...
AND PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL. THE COLD FRONT AND
PRECIPITATION WILL QUICKLY EXIT TO THE SOUTHEAST OVERNIGHT TONIGHT.
A MUCH COLDER AND DRIER AIRMASS WILL MOVE IN BEHIND THE FRONT...WITH
TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO DROP BACK BELOW NORMALS THROUGH MID WEEK.
