FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EAST KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
653 AM EDT SUN MAY 1 2016

.DISCUSSION...A WARM FRONT WILL LIFT TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF
THE REGION TODAY...TAKING MOST OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
WITH IT...AT LEAST FOR A TIME. DAYTIME HEATING MAY LEAD TO
ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT DURING THE AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST INTO THE AREA TONIGHT...
AND THEN STALL AS A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES ALONG IT. THIS WILL
BRING YET ANOTHER POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS ON MONDAY INTO
MONDAY NIGHT. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE
REMAINDER OF THE WEEK...AS TEMPERATURES TURN MUCH COLDER.
