Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
450 PM EST Mon Feb 20 2017

.DISCUSSION...A ridge of high pressure will provide fair
weather lasting through most of Tuesday. As the high
pressure moves east, a very slow moving low pressure
system will move from east Texas on Tuesday to the eastern
gulf of Mexico by late Wednesday. An area of rain
associated with it will affect our local area, mainly on
Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. No change in air mass
will occur with the passage of the system, so mild conditions
will persist until the next cold front arrives. That should
happen on Friday night, along with another potential for
rain.
