Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
750 AM EDT Sat Jul 22 2017

...Hot and Humid Weather Continues Today, More Storms Sunday...

.DISCUSSION...Hot and humid conditions will persist across the
area through the weekend with highs topping out in the lower 90s
today and around 90 on Sunday. The hot temperatures will combine
with high humidity to drive heat index values to around 100
degrees today, but relief is just over the horizon as a cold
front bears down on the area by Monday. The cold frontal system
will bring a good chance of showers and thunderstorms to the area
sunday as it approaches from the northwest. This cold front will
also bring a change of air mass to eastern Kentucky, dropping our
daily highs into the mid and upper 80s and overnight lows into
the mid and upper 60s through the upcoming week.
