Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
356 AM EDT Mon Apr 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...Dry weather prevails through Tuesday as high
pressure dominates our weather. There will be a risk of morning
frost Monday and Tuesday mornings, especially in sheltered
valleys. Minimum relative humidity values will retreat into the 20
to 30 percent range for most locations by Monday and Tuesday,
with only moderate humidity recoveries on ridges tonight with
significant ridge-valley temperature and humidity differences. In
addition, southwest winds will be gusty on Tuesday afternoon and
evening. The high will depart to the east mid-week, with some
light precipitation chances returning with a moisture-starved cold
front on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. At this time, low
humidity is expected again on Thursday afternoon.
