Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
412 AM EDT Thu Mar 30 2017

...Enhanced wildfire risk today due to low RH and strong winds...

.DISCUSSION...South to southeast winds will strengthen ahead of an
approaching cold front today. Sustained winds of 10 to 20 mph are
likely with gusts up to 30 or 35 mph. These winds combined with
RH`s falling to between 25 and 35 percent will lead to an enhanced
wildfire danger this afternoon through early evening. Widespread
showers and thunderstorms will track across the area tonight, with
locally heavy rainfall. The weather will remain damp on Friday
with rain chances continuing. Some drizzle may hold on into
Saturday morning, but most of the weekend should be rain free.
More rain chances return by next Monday.
