.DISCUSSION...A COLD FRONT WILL DROP SOUTH OF KENTUCKY TODAY...BUT
NOT BEFORE BRINGING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO
LOCATIONS NEAR THE TN AND VA BORDERS. THIS BOUNDARY WILL RETURN NORTH
AS A WARM FRONT LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY NIGHT...BRINGING ISOLATED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA. SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL BRING
ABUNDANT MOISTURE NORTH INTO THE REGION OVER THE WEEKEND AND INTO
EARLY NEXT WEEK. PASSING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL COMBINE WITH
THIS MOISTURE TO BRING ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...AND THE
THREAT OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN TO THE AREA OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
